The work of The Sanctuary is not about “fixing” a person. It is about carefully tending the processes through which identities shift, generational burdens are set down, and a person remembers themselves as whole and in relationship with Spirit, community, and ancestry.
Through spiritual counseling, ritual guidance, and holistic mental health support, Deep Waters Sanctuary supports individuals in:

Iya Origbemi is an initiated priest and spiritual midwife whose work is devoted to accompanying people through profound inner change. Rooted in African Traditional Religions and ancestral lineage, and formally trained in the psychological sciences, she bridges sacred tradition with grounded, evidence-informed care.
As a conjurer by bloodline and an initiated priest in Ifa, Egbe, Olokun within the Isese branch of African Traditional Orisha Religion as well as initiated as a Yaya in Palo Mayombe, Iya Origbemi works in covenant with a variety of spiritual allies. The work is always undertaken with attention to consent, boundaries, and the responsibilities that come with lineage.
Her formal training includes a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Science (Spiritual Counseling), a Master’s degree in Counseling, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. This allows her to hold together spiritual discernment and psychological insight, so that care remains both spiritually guided and psychologically informed.
